About TattsLotto
TattsLotto was created by the state of Victoria government and later conducted by Tattersall’s. The original goal of the lottery game was to help raise additional funds for the national health system. The first draw, which was televised on HSV-7 Melbourne, was held on June 24th, 1972 with a first division prize of AUD $50,000.
TattsLotto history With time, the game became popular all over Australia but with different names - TattsLotto in Victoria, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, and the Northern Territory; Gold Lotto in Queensland; X Lotto in South Australia; Saturday Lotto in New South Wales and Western Australia.
How to Play
TattsLotto / Saturday Lotto is a game of chance whereby 6 numbers and 2 supplementary numbers are randomly drawn from a barrel of 45 numbers every Saturday. A single game of TattsLotto requires you to choose 6 numbers from 1 to 45. TattsLotto is drawn on Saturdays at 8:30pm AEST (or 9.30pm during Daylight Saving).
To win the Division 1 prize, you need to match all 6 winning numbers in a single TattsLotto draw game. The supplementary numbers are used to determine prizes in Divisions 2, 5 and 6.
The odds of winning a Division 1 prize in TattsLotto / Saturday Lotto is 1 in 8,145,060. And the odds of winning a division 6 prize with a single game in TattsLotto is 1 in 53.
